Gruene, TX is one of our favorite places to go for a weekend trip. We simply fly into San Antonio and take a short drive to Gruene which is about 40 minutes.
This historic town is the perfect place to relax whether it’s in a wine tasting room or exploring the historic distric of Gruene. Oh and don’t forget to pick up cowboy hats at the Gruene hat company.
We always make it a point to go to Gruene dance hall and during the summer my husband has to do some fly fishing and go down the river with Rockin’s R River Rides. It’s the perfect destination for a relaxing weekend.
It gets kind of crazy during summer months but it’s such a great spot with so many fun things, we love spending time there. There’s always a good reason to visit Gruene, Texas.
