Landa Park is a 51-acre riverside haven  in central Texas where you and your family can immerse yourselves in nature. The city of New Braunfels manages it and there are so many activities you can easily spend  an entire day there. We love having a picnic with a good glass of wine while watching the comal river.

Gruene, TX is one of our favorite places to go for a weekend trip. We simply fly into San Antonio and  take a short drive to Gruene which is about 40 minutes. 

​This historic town is the perfect place to relax whether it’s in a wine tasting room or exploring the historic distric of Gruene. Oh and don’t forget to pick up cowboy hats at the Gruene hat company. 

We always make it a point to go to Gruene dance hall and during the summer my husband has to do some fly fishing and go down the river with Rockin’s R River Rides.  It’s the perfect destination for a relaxing weekend. 

It gets kind of crazy during summer months but it’s such a great spot with so many fun things, we love spending time there. There’s always a good reason to visit Gruene, Texas.
